In my prior career as a nurse, I helped a lot of patients in the low stages of their life. Even in their low stages, I was still able to make a difference by making patients feel happy and optimistic about their treatment and care.

While I was working, I raised a family of 3 little boys. My sons opened me up to the possibility of doing parties and events professionally because nearly 20 years of my life was dedicated to making sure that my sons, friends, and family members had great birthday parties and special events.

My career as a nurse and my family inspired me to start PMT Party Services Group because I want to make events for other people feel memorable and special. I understand what it means to put a smile on someone’s face and how important it is to make people feel special.

PARTY PLANNING AT ITS FINEST!! I happened to fall upon PMT Party Services on Instagram. I was planning my daughters sweet 16 and I was overwhelmed! The pictures looked great, they were a local company and so I called. I spoke to Dorothy (aka Dorota) and shortly thereafter we meet. She was lovely, spunky and has a great personality. We hit it off immediately, but the thing I initially liked the most was her honesty and her willingness to look for the best pricing she could find. I had gone to a local decorator who wanted to charge a flat fee (and what I found out later was) double the price for the centerpieces my daughter envisioned. Dorothy showed us pricing and always kept us in the loop with her progress. A decision was never made unless it was addressed to myself or daughter. In all fairness, this was a BIG party! We hosted in the ballroom of The Vanderbilt in South Beach, Staten Island and we had 160+ guests. My daughters theme was “Hollywood Glam” and her colors were pink, white and gold. Dorothy had many suggestions but as I learned along the way my daughter was pretty specific with what she wanted. Dorothy respected her decisions and her goal throughout the process was to please my daughter. She elegantly created our vision for my daughters affair. We were in constant contact, reviewing and finalizing all the decorations we wished for. This included my daughters name in 4ft marquee lights, a 4ft 16 in marquee lights with a balloon display and a personalized backdrop. Dorothy also decorated the long dais table for 14 teenagers. It was beautifully draped and decorated with the lovely chair covers she suggested and the giant white and gold throne. She created beautiful ostrich feather centerpieces in gold vases with crystals. She also created a background behind the dais table. It was radiant with white drapery and lights with stars. Everything came together so beautifully, I was overwhelmed with joy when I first entered the room. She also added lighted crystal vases as a special touch by the lounge which my husband loved. Dorothy and her team were kind enough to capture my daughter behind the scenes before making her grand entrance. Dorothy and her team were amazing throughout this process. From the million changes to the seating arrangements, to the beautiful personalized cards, to the table runners and wine bottle labels that matched my daughters dress. The setup alone took so many people but it was organized and seamless under the time constraints. Through it all Dorothy and her team were professional, courteous and down right awesome! It was a perfect affair that went so smooth there wasn’t one hiccup. I owe PMT Party Services many, many thanks for bringing forth our ideas and creating the most beautiful affair my husband and I ever hosted! Hands down they are absolutely the best team to create an amazing affair. I’m so grateful to have met them and I look forward to working with them for future affairs.
